Welcome to Early-Stage Execution
You’ll be part of Estimating where you, together with your colleagues, will be responsible for establishing CAPEX budgets for onshore wind, solar, and BESS projects, advancing Orsted’s understanding of project costs and project risks to support investment decisions.
As a team, we work closely with Procurement, Engineering, Finance, M&A, Execution, Development and Origination, meaning you’ll have many colleagues across the organisation and globe.
You’ll play an important role in:
- preparing internal review documents of bid proposals, CAPEX summaries, project evaluations, and internal investment materials to properly advise and make recommendations on project decisions
- evaluating and streamlining existing estimating processes and templates
- analysing historical project data to assess risks on future projects
- cross-functional collaboration to ensure all teams are aligned on schedule, cost, and scope assumptions in the business case
- day-to-day estimating activities for all onshore technology types through various phases of the project lifecycle.
To succeed in the role, you:
- can effectively prioritize among multiple, competing, high priority tasks and deliverables
- have a strong analytical background with high competency in Microsoft Excel
- have a strong team-mentality – taking initiative to drive team the team estimating function forward
- are a collaborator who looks forward to taking on new opportunities and challenges with a sense of urgency and enthusiasm
- should be able to start in-person on June 9th for intern orientation.
