Commercial Project Manager

Join us in this role where you’ll be responsible for project managing commercial deliverables on the UK Hornsea Three and/ or Hornsea Four execution projects. You’ll join the department leading the development of full-scope UK offshore wind projects.
Welcome to Region Europe Project Development
You’ll be part of the Commercial Project Development functional line where you, together with your colleagues, will collaborate with other commercial managers in the team and work full time on the Hornsea Three and/ or Hornsea Four offshore wind farm projects, reporting to the project Commercial Director. The initial focus of this role will be to negotiate and deliver the commercial aspects of the offshore co-operation, crossing and proximity agreements to allow offshore construction to proceed accordingly to programme. It is expected that the role will expand or evolve once the initial work scope is delivered.

You’ll play an important role in:
- leading the negotiation and management of commercial offshore co-operation agreements, crossing and proximity agreements
- managing commercial stakeholder workstreams, e.g. oil and gas operators, or shipping and navigation interests
- leading the negotiation and management of other commercial agreements, e.g. agreements for lease with The Crown Estate etc.
- being responsible for budgets, programme, and risk in your work package and prepare the commercial documentation necessary to support internal governance processes
- embracing innovation by challenging the status quo and delivering new value enhancing opportunities
To succeed in the role, you:
- have extensive experience negotiating and working with external stakeholders on a major infrastructure project (experience with oil and gas stakeholder is a plus)
- have a strong understanding of the regulatory framework in which offshore wind operates, incl. DCO and CfD regimes
- have a high degree of financial literacy, legal understanding and project management capability as well as experience with commercial, contract, or project management, ideally within the offshore wind sector
- have experience dealing with external regulatory authorities
- can thrive in an international environment and are able to create excellent working relationships with key stakeholders.
