Join us in this role where you’ll be enabling Ørsted’s trading activities by developing, optimizing, and automating the data infrastructure and workflows for data analytics-focused teams. Working closely with trading analysts, data scientists, analytics developers, and cross-functional stakeholders, you will ensure that development environments, data pipelines, and deployment processes are robust, automated, and easily accessible. By taking on key DevOps tasks, you will enable users to focus on data analysis and analytics development, while you handle the infrastructure, CI/CD, and platform management responsibilities.

You’ll be part of our Surfboard team, which develops and operates the data & analytics platform of the Trading Express Agile Release Train (ART). Together with your colleagues in Denmark, Poland and Malaysia, you will enable the trading floor with technical expertise on fast and secure provisioning of data sources and integrations based on highest standards. You’ll play an important role in:

• developing and maintaining a containerized, scalable, and reliable development environment using Kubernetes to support JupyterHub, Code Server, Airflow, Splunk and various data analytics tools
• cooperating with Cloud and Kubernetes Engineers to develop and maintain Data Analytics Platform hosted in the Cloud with high availability
• building, deploying, and managing dockerized applications, ensuring they run efficiently within the Platform using Helm or other templates for deployment configuration
• developing CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment, and monitoring of Python applications and data workflows within the Platform, focusing on enabling quick, reliable deployments for analysts’ projects
• setting up monitoring and alerting systems (using tools like Prometheus, Grafana) to ensure visibility into infrastructure and pipeline health – and continuously optimize infrastructure and pipelines for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.

To succeed in the role, you:

• have experience in mentoring junior developers and presenting technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a distributed setup
• have extensive experience in Python programming, including writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code
• have strong background in DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and cloud infrastructure management.
• are able to work closely with trading analysts, ensuring their validated ideas are transformed into robust, secure, and scalable solutions
• have expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, CI/CD pipelines, ETL pipelines, monitoring, logging, and alerting systems, as well as experience with cloud providers and managed Kubernetes services.
