Strategy Scenario Manager

Join us in this role where you’ll lead the rollout and integration of scenario-based planning across our functions. The role involves integrating key scenarios such as macroeconomic trends, regulatory developments, power prices, and cost factors (CAPEX/OPEX) across the broader organisation. You’ll collaborate with key teams across strategy, portfolio, finance, regulatory affairs, and Procurement to ensure that scenario insights are actively informing strategic choices, investment decisions, and risk mitigation efforts. This position offers the opportunity to shape how we navigate an uncertain future by embedding robust scenario-planning capabilities into our strategic processes and financial planning cycle.

Welcome to Corporate Strategy
You’ll be part of the Corporate Strategy team, working closely with senior leadership to drive    Ørsted’s long-term strategic direction. You’ll also engage with the wider Strategy, Innovation, Portfolio and Inhouse-Consulting area to ensure that scenario planning is a key enabler of high-impact decision-making. This role involves significant stakeholder management across the organisation, requiring strong analytical capabilities, structured problem-solving, and excellent communication skills.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • leading the rollout and integration of scenario-based planning across our functions, ensuring alignment with strategic decision-making, investment processes, and risk management
  • collaborating with key stakeholders across Strategy, Portfolio, Finance, Regulatory Affairs, and Procurement to embed scenario thinking into our strategy and financial planning cycles
  • translating scenario insights into actionable recommendations, ensuring that scenarios actively inform strategic choices and business-critical decisions
  • driving the operating model for scenario planning, establishing clear governance, timelines, and processes
  • building internal capabilities by developing training materials, workshops, and engagement initiatives to foster a strong scenario-planning culture.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have experience in strategy, consulting, scenario planning, and/or finance, ideally with exposure to the energy sector
  • have proven experience in project management, with the ability to effectively steer cross-functional processes and balance deep content expertise with strategic oversight
  • have excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams and influence senior decision-makers
  • possess strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex scenario outputs into clear, actionable insights
  • have a structured problem-solving approach and a strong personal drive to push initiatives forward
  • are comfortable working in an evolving environment where you will need to shape new processes and ways of working and thrive in an independent work environment while effectively collaborating with remote team.
