Senior Data Manager

Imagine a future where you oversee data strategies, ensures data quality, manages databases, and enable complex data analysis initiatives for engineering projects.

Join us in this role where you’ll will be responsible for overseeing the entire data lifecycle, from acquisition to interpretation. Your role will involve developing data management plans, ensuring data quality and integrity, and implementing best practices for data governance. You will work closely with engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to provide valuable insights and support decision-making processes. Additionally, you will lead efforts to optimize data storage, enhance data visualization techniques, and drive our cloud transformation journey.

You’ll be part of be part of the engineering digitalisation department. where you, together with your colleagues, will collaborate on data collection, transfer, and storage for our offshore wind projects.

As a team, we collaborate with our colleagues and engage with various stakeholders throughout our value chain. We seek individuals who excel both independently and as part of a dynamic team to achieve excellence.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • Connecting business processes by perform data discovery activities, mapping data flows, and fine tuning work and data flows through automation.
  • Maintain and govern Engineering data within various platforms and have an overview of overall Engineering data visibility, costs, access and performance. 
  • Administrate our cloud storage solutions and influence storage adaptation into various compute solutions such as HPC and VDI on cloud. 
  • Designing data pipelines for various teams in Engineering, knowledge on typical engineering data types including weather forecasting, cable and electrical, geoscience etc. will be a distinct advantage.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • Understand and shape data workflows, process mining and data pipeline design.
  • Are highly engaged and hold strong communication soft-skills and stakeholder management.
  • Have a deep understanding of various data structures; databases, cloud storage technologies and data management governance. 
  • High understanding on data metrics, dashboarding and key performance indices. 
  • Understanding of data warehouses, ETL and as a bonus: Engineering software technologies such as Petrel, ArcGIS Pro and Ansys.
