Innovation Student Assistant

Join us in this role where you’ll influence decisions and handle tasks both independently and collaboratively with the team, thereby contributing with your knowledge and expertise. Your duties will include supporting our innovation department with a strong focus on data analysis. This involves tasks such as modelling the performance of new technologies in energy systems, providing input for early-stage business cases, and managing the data of our portfolio of innovation projects.

You’ll be part of the Innovation team where you, together with your colleagues, will play a crucial role in supporting our teams across a wide range of tasks. These include energy system modelling, data analysis, and utilising tools and systems essential to innovation and renewable energy initiatives. We oversee a diverse portfolio of innovation projects, fostering collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. You’ll actively contribute to our shared growth and success.

You’ll play an important role in:
- providing inputs for early-stage business cases and assess them
- modelling specific innovation technologies and their synergies with our generating assets
- supporting on the creation of material to present to decision makers
- support with ad hoc analysis and research for innovation projects
- data management for the Innovation project portfolio.
To succeed in the role, you:
- are currently finishing your bachelor's degree or you are enrolled in a master’s degree program, and you have one to three years remaining until graduation in a relevant field such as engineering, economics, IT or business school
- excel in data analysis of large data sets and ideally have experience in Python or similar programming
- have a basic understanding of business case development and of financial KPIs used in decision making
- can handle a small project independently coordinating several stakeholders knowing when to ask for support
- demonstrate ambition, a strong desire for learning, and embrace a growth mindset that empowers you to venture beyond your comfort zone, tackling intricate tasks with determination
- exhibit excellent communication proficiency, both spoken and written, in fluent English in order to effectively collaborate with specialists from diverse functional areas.
