Software/Senior Software Engineer

Join us in this role where you’ll be responsible for enabling both web-based and Windows clients with .Net applications to visualise complexity in a simple and user-friendly way to support our business unit. 

Welcome to Asset and Energy Management department 
You’ll be part of our operational and information technology team in our international IT department, which counts more than 500 skilled and dedicated colleagues working closely together within the different business units across Northern Europe and in Malaysia.  

You’ll play an important role in:  

  • creating business value by developing and maintaining extended functionality on IT products 

  • working with Azure (Event Hub, Azure Kubernetes), AzureDevOps, .NET Core, and Docker 

  • creating and maintaining software solutions for customers through Agile SAFe framework adoption 

  • participating in daily stand-up meeting, sprint review, and plan meetings with global colleagues in optimisation scrum process 

  • working closely and collaborate with internal agile release train team and external consultants and key resources from the business side 

  • driving innovation and continuous technical improvement. 

To succeed in the role, you:  

  • have an academic degree at bachelor level or higher within IT, computer science, or engineering 

  • have experience with Cloud development and application design, preferably Microsoft Azure, and have good knowledge and development experience with cloud design patterns 

  • have a proven track record and experience with design, development, and deployment in Microsoft .Net Core, C#, Angular, and Visual Studio Team Services 

  • have experience with relevant development tools and specific application, in addition to a strong understanding of object-oriented design ( HTML, CSS and Javascript, Angular, and React ) 

  • advocate clean coding principles and development best practices (SOLID, DRY) 

  • have excellent verbal and written communication skills, have the ability to articulate business and technical requirements, and are able to initiate and drive innovation.
